Courts must be booked using Clubspark Every court must be booked using the Clubspark website and should include all participants' names. If hitting by yourself, then please put in the description box ‘sole practice’ but we would ask to keep this out with peak hours.
Cancel court if unable to play. If you have a court booked and you cannot play for whatever reason, the court must be cancelled to allow someone else to make a booking at short notice. Court bookings can no longer be guaranteed if members are 15 minutes late. In this instance, other members are free to use the court for the remainder of the booking.
Fairness Rule. During peak hours play is restricted to 1 hour. Playing partners may not book additional hours to extend the booking. Peak hours for the avoidance of doubt are Monday to Friday 4pm til 9pm and Saturdays 9am til 4pm. This allows fair access to the courts for all members. If after completing the first hour you see a court free (on the day) then members can book the court for an additional hour but this shouldn’t be booked in advance.
Avoid leaving booking gaps. Please avoid leaving gaps in bookings – if you see a lesson finishing on the half hour please book straight after this in order to eliminate 30-minute gaps appearing throughout the peak hours as this maximises court time for all.
Sweeping Courts. Clay courts must be swept after use (unless courts are wet). Remove anything that shouldn’t be left on courts including clothing, rubbish and balls. We have bins at the entrance to courts 1 and 4 and a ball bin for used balls.
Visitors Fees. If you are bringing down a guest then the guest fee must be paid before you play. Guest fee of £5 per guest should be paid into the club account: Sort Code: 832022 Account Number: 00284536 OR deposit into the red post box at reception using the envelopes provided.
Parents of Mini & Junior Members. Parents must have at least a social membership in order to play tennis with their child on our courts. Main courts 1 - 8 can be booked during off peak times to hit with their child only. Court 9 - mini court - can be booked and has no restriction. Follow the guidance provided for booking a court for a junior.
